Trip Album- Earlier Travels Part 4 (2011)

The trip back to Coffs and over to Birdsville

This unusual stage of our previous travels is where we left the great state of WA and crossed the Nullabor. Many people say its boring, but it all depends on what you expect to get out of the Nullabor. We enjoyed it, there is plenty to see if only you open your eyes. As we hit Eucla for an overnight stop its was sunny and the weather was fine but when we woke up the next morning it had been raining all night and the clay/dirt camp ground was just MUD! Was an awful packup of the camper trailer and mud made it into everywhere. We spent some time in Smoky Bay and ventured down to Port Lincoln but the weather was awful- SES wind warnings etc so we just kept driving, and driving and driving- decided at the last-minute to just head home to Coffs for a surprise visit to family. After a short stop in Coffs we kept going and headed north to Ballina and made our way across to BIRDSVILLE!
