Trip Album- Stage 6 (2011)

The Eyre & Yorke Peninsulas (SA)

After heading south along the Birdsville Track last year we headed over to Smoky Bay at the western side of the Eyre Peninsula. We loved it there, a great caravan park, great fishing and OYSTERS were only $6 a dozen, we bought plenty (even made oyster mornay pies). We then travelled the coast of the peninsula and spent some time in Coffin Bay (again getting stuck into the cheap oysters). It was then into Port Lincoln, Arno Bay and then down the other side (The Yorke Peninsula). Such a great part of Australia, was very windy but the people were friendly, the fishing was great and lots of history down there. There are also a few pics we took on the way home too…
