Satay Chicken Ball Skewers

Satay Chicken Ball Skewers

Another easy recipe idea that only requires a few ingredients. Can be cooked on any bbq or grill. We like to use our OZpig for a nice smokey flavour and char-grill effect from the hot-plate.

  • 500gm chicken mince
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/3 cup of bread crumbs
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)
  • 2 tbsp mixed herbs
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 small red capsicum
  • wooden skewers

Makes 8-10 sticks

Mix all ingredients except the capsicum together, roll into small balls and thread onto wooden skewers (soak skewers for 10 mins prior to stop them burning).

Cut capsicum into small peices and use them to seperate the chicken balls.

Cook on bbq for a few minutes, turning to ensure all sides are cooked.

OPTIONAL Dipping sauce:

1 and 1/2 cups of crunchy peanut butter, 1 tbsp soy sauce, 2 tbsp of crushed garlic, a dash of sweet chilli sauce (more or less as desired) and 1/2 cup of coconut cream.

Heat all ingredients in a pot till it becomes a runny sauce. Drizzle over chicken balls or use it as a dipping sauce!
